It is with great regret that we have to announce that unfortunately it has been necessary to cancel the Hammer and Discus events at this year’s LSAA Track & Field Championships on Saturday 13th June 2026 at Sutcliffe Park due to damage to the throws cage which can’t be repaired before the end of June.
The four athletes considered to be in contention for a place in the London team (according to their results on Po10) will have been contacted directly or via their borough to offer them an opportunity to compete elsewhere if necessary.
All other athletes who are entered for either Discus or Hammer are invited, if they wish, to enter one (or two if they were doing both events) other events as long as they email: marilyn.athletics@gmail.com to let me know which events they want to enter. This must be received no later than 8pm on Tuesday 9th June and emails will be acknowledged that evening. Remember that it is a County championship event so athletes must be competent at the event they wish to enter.
